Skin Cancer Awareness Month
May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK – but the good news is, it’s also one of the most preventable.
This month, we’re encouraging everyone to be sun smart and take care of their skin. Whether you’re out for a walk, gardening, or heading on holiday, don’t forget to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)
Wear protective clothing and a hat
Seek shade, especially between 11am and 3pm
Check your skin regularly for any changes
Early detection can save lives. Let’s raise awareness, take action, and support those affected by skin cancer.
